On Monday Evenings the Celtic Musician’s Club gather in the Tom Muldowney Rooms to play their many instruments – a serious group of more than 50 musicians who enjoy their music – and invite others to join them. Irish Language classes are held each Monday (except during school holidays) at the Irish Hall from 7 pm to 9 pm. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome. Perhaps you would like to learn to speak the language of your ancestors? Or maybe you are planning a trip to Ireland and would like to know a little of the language? Join the class and enjoy informal evenings with learning as a bonus! On Wednesday Evenings the Adelaide Irish Pipe Band holds practice in the main hall. The AIPB is always looking for new members, experienced and beginners. So if you are aged 11 + and have an interest in learning the bagpipes or drums come and join Adelaide's Irish Pipe Band. Tuition is available. For more information please ring Bob Yard on 0438 194 990. Private tuition is also available - ring Sam Somerset 8381 7939
Another Successful Kids Day @ The Irish Club We had a fantastic Kids Day on Tuesday 22nd April. Those who attended learned some Irish words for things like, butterfly, tree, bee and ladybird (God's little cow!!) - oh and we all went home covered in paint!! Thanks to all who attended for making it another great success. It's always lovely to see new faces and we thank our regulars for their support too! The Irish Language class hosts the kids day as a means of introducing the junior members of the IAA to Gaelige. We really encourage the kids to become Junior Members of the IAA - at $5 per year, it's a cheap way to stay involved, make your kids feel welcome and ensure the club's future.
