The Folk Show on Radio Adelaide has brought you the best in folk music and culture for over 30 years.

The team take you on a tour of Irish, American, Scottish, English, Australian and world folk in both traditional and contemporary styles. Join our team of knowledgeable presenters every Saturday afternoon, and don’t forget your dancing shoes!

The Folk Show is heard around Australia via the Community Radio Network.

 

It was devised by two Uni students and has been the most successful folk music program on radio. It is run by a Co-Op, made up of: Margaret Monks Co-Ordinator, Lee Miller, Julie & David Cavanagh and Ray O’Keefe.

They each do the two hours roughly every 8 weeks.

Margaret and Eric usually do the show together – playing Irish, American, Scottish and contemporary, Lee plays similar, Julie and David – Play mainly English and Australian, David Long – Plays a variety of styles, Ray – Plays Australian and some world music.
